Low impact development (LID) analysis
Evaluating
the effectiveness of low impact development or best
management practices for reducing wet weather pollutant
loadings is simplified in PCSWMM with a flexible set of
SWMM5 components that can be set up to represent various LID
devices. Comparison of the long-term performance and the
hydrologic and water quality benefits of various LID
implementations is simple with scenario comparison tools.
PCSWMM support for LID modeling includes:- Permeable pavers
- Bio-retention areas (rain gardens, green roofs)
- Rain Barrels
- Vegetative swales and buffer strips
- Cisterns
- Infiltration trenches, and more...
