A case study of the Chicago River watershed was completed using both data-driven and physical models to simulate total nitrates. Naila Mahdi and Haithum Elhadi from the Illinois Institute of Technology and Krishna Pagilla from the University of Nevada compared the performance of both modeling approaches.
