Integrated Flood Risk Mitigation and Management In Low Lying Urban Areas: A Case Study of Banda Slum Zone B1 & B3

Banda Zone B1 & B3, located in Uganda, is a low-lying area characterized by informal and unplanned settlements. The main objective of this project was to assess the causes of the flooding in Banda Zone B1 & B3 and to establish flood mitigation and adaptation measures.

This project used a scenario approach in PCSWMM for estimating floods, taking into consideration the current state and the potential future scenarios of development in the area.
