EPANET2, developed by the U.S. EPA, is a water distribution model that performs hydraulic and water quality computations within pressurized networks consisting of junctions, reservoirs, tanks, pumps, valves, and pipes. PCSWMM streamlines EPANET modeling by providing model set-up and analysis tools.
This specialized PCSWMM and EPANET workshop focuses on getting both new and experienced modelers up to speed on the full capabilities of EPANET in the PCSWMM environment. Learn the theory, tools and practical hands-on applications of hydraulic and water quality model building and analysis for water distribution systems. The model set-up will cover base demand allocation, steady-state and extended period simulation, water age and chlorine scenarios. The model analysis will include fire flow analysis, water age and chlorine analysis. PCSWMM Python scripting will be introduced for assisting EPANET model set-up and review.
Participants will develop the necessary skill and confidence to effectively explore and apply the EPANET2 engine in water distribution modeling. PCSWMM will be used throughout the workshop to speed up learning and program execution and to enhance the understanding of the underlying EPANET2 capabilities.
You will receive full workshop details prior to the workshop. If you have any questions or comments, please contact our workshop coordinator.
