ABOUT ICWMM 2019
The annual International Conference on Water Management Modeling is a forum for professionals and researchers from across North America and overseas to exchange ideas and experience on current practices and emerging technologies.
This is effectively the 52nd annual SWMM Users Group Meeting, the 28th in the current series of annual Toronto conferences, and the 39th to be held in Canada. The current title reflects a slightly broader interest, including watershed and water supply systems.
The atmosphere is relaxed, presentations are of a high standard and by accepting papers up to the weeks before the event, a spontaneity is achieved which gives this conference special character. Attending this conference will allow you to earn up to 1.5 CEUs.
Who will be attending?
- Civil and Municipal Engineers
- Environmental Engineers
- Consultants
- Instructors and Researchers from Universities and Research Institutions
- Municipal and Government Engineering Professionals
- Public Works Personnel
- Policy Makers
- Fluvial Geomorphologists
- Urban Planners and Geographers
- Aquatic Biologists
- Ecologists
- Landscape Engineers and Architects
The conference is endorsed by:
- ASCE Urban Water Resources Research Council
- American Water Resources Association
- Canadian Society of Civil Engineering

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
If you have a water project that you feel has made a significant improvement, or an innovation you'd like to share with your peers, we encourage you to submit an abstract. Presentations highlight aspects of computer modeling. All conference papers are automatically submitted for publication review in the Journal of Water Management Modeling.
Submissions are welcome in the following areas of endeavor:
- Urban drainage
- Stormwater systems
- Sanitary sewers
- Watershed modeling
- Surface water quality
- Flooding
- Water supply
- Water infrastructure
- Water management
- Water systems planning
- Water systems design
- Water systems operation
- Numerical analysis in hydraulics and hydrology
- Computer programming in hydraulics and hydrology
About the Journal of Water Management Modeling:
Using the evolving digital modes of R&D communication, the Journal of Water Management Modeling (JWMM) is the first open access exchange in the special sub-discipline of water management modeling. JWMM publishes novel methodologies and advances, from basic research to planning, engineering and operational studies, with an accent on useful and pragmatic ideas and engineering.
Accentuating the nuanced difference between applied technology and fundamental science, JWMM fosters an unusual cooperation between three sub-communities (developers, users and beneficiaries) on conceptual and practical engineering models of urban, rural and watershed scale water supply and drainage systems, both natural and engineered.
