OVERVIEW
Take your water management modeling to the next level with one of our upcoming online workshops. Covering a variety of topics and skill levels, our regular 1-day and 2-day PCSWMM & EPA SWMM5 workshops are joined by a series of specialty workshops on specific modeling topics such as groundwater, water distribution, integrated 1D-2D modeling, and development impact analysis. Click on one of the upcoming workshops below to learn more.
ACCREDITATION
You will earn 1.5 CEUs for participating in the 2-day training courses and 0.75 CEUs for the 1-day training courses.

This specialized PCSWMM and EPA SWMM5 workshop covers different applications of surface water-groundwater interactions, including stream flow simulations and tile drains, and discusses its potential use in RDII analysis. From this course, the attendees will understand surface water-groundwater interaction basics, functionality, and limitations of groundwater modeling in SWMM through presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises.

This specialized PCSWMM and EPANET workshop focuses on getting both new and experienced modelers up to speed on the full capabilities of EPANET in the PCSWMM environment. Learn the theory, tools and practical hands-on applications of hydraulic and water quality model building and analysis for water distributions systems. The model set-up will cover base demand allocation, steady-state and extended period simulation, water age and trace scenarios. The model analysis will include fire flow analysis, gate sensitivity analysis, water age and trace analysis. PCSWMM Python scripting will be introduced for assisting EPANET model set-up and review.

This workshop provides an in-depth look into the theory and applications of PCSWMM’s approach to 2D modeling using EPA SWMM5. Special emphasis will be placed on the workflow for building and inferring results from a 2D model using tools available within the PCSWMM interface. During the workshop, attendees will have an opportunity to work-through a variety of 2D modeling applications including major-minor conveyance systems and flooding resulting from riverbank overtopping.

This specialized PCSWMM and EPA SWMM5 workshop is intended for both new and experienced modelers with the objective of building skills to evaluate development impacts using PCSWMM flow frequency and flow duration tools that characterize depth, velocity, or flowrates based on computed/measured hydrographs. These tools will be applied to conduct a hydromodification analysis that quantifies changes to channel form/stability in watercourses as well as a hydroperiod analysis that quantifies the characteristic time period during which a wetland or other waterbody is inundated with water. Concepts will be reinforced using a series of hands-on exercises.
