AGENDA
Day 1 (Beginner-Intermediate)
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Day 1 focuses on introducing the theory, concepts and tools available for EPA SWMM5 stormwater and wastewater modeling. Lectures are interspersed with real-world hands-on exercises, with plenty of time for one-on-one interaction with the instructor.
TOPICS INCLUDE
Introduction to EPA SWMM5 and PCSWMM, hydrology and hydraulics theory, model construction, discretization and parameterization (including GIS integration), model validation and model inference, with a focus on urban stormwater and/or sanitary modeling including flood management, storage facility design, and system evaluation using both design storms and continuous modeling.
Day 2 (Advanced-2D)
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Day 2 focuses on progressing your skills and mastering the latest advances in EPA SWMM and PCSWMM. We highly recommended that you have already participated in the Day 1 training of a PCSWMM workshop if signing up for this advanced 1 day course.
TOPICS INCLUDE
Low Impact Development (LID), integrated 1D-2D flood modeling, model debugging and calibration, watershed modeling (including importing HEC-RAS models), erosion, and time series analysis (duration analysis, hydromodification, etc.).
