ICWMM 2024
We are delighted to announce that ICWMM 2024 will take place in person at our new venue, The Westin Toronto Airport. After three successful virtual events, we are excited to return to in-person gatherings and can't wait to reconnect with all of you.
Registration is now open for the 57th annual International Conference on Water Management Modeling. This conference serves as a global platform for professionals and researchers to share insights and innovations in water management practices and emerging technologies.
ICWMM is inherently multidisciplinary, making it the ideal forum for anyone with a direct interest in stormwater, wastewater, or water distribution management, as well as quantity/quality modeling of urban or rural water systems.
Join us for ICWMM 2024 and be a part of this vibrant community of water management experts!

SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT TODAY - Step onto our stage!
Do you have a water management project or an innovative solution that you're eager to share with your peers? Would you like to address a diverse audience of water systems modelers? If the answer is yes, we warmly encourage you to submit an abstract and seize the opportunity to present at ICWMM 2024.
At ICWMM, we foster a friendly atmosphere and maintain a singular focus on water management modeling. By avoiding parallel sessions, we create a unique platform for both seasoned and budding presenters to engage with a large audience of leading professionals and researchers from across North America and around the globe.
Suggested topics include:
- 1D, 2D, 3D surface water and/or integrated groundwater modeling
- Water distribution system vulnerability/risk, rehabilitation, and management modeling
- Green infrastructure (LIDs, SuDS), wetlands, and agricultural BMPs
- Flood forecasting, flood risk assessment, floodplain mapping, and decision support systems
- Water quality analyses and pollution management modeling, including SSOs, CSOs, and TMDLs
- Climate change modeling analysis and system resiliency, vulnerability, security
- Greywater system optimization and water conservation
- Restoration and rehabilitation of watercourses, wetlands and lakes
- Stormwater/pollution management modeling
- Urban drainage system (storm and wastewater) design and analysis
- Calibration, optimization, and error analysis (genetic algorithms and neural networks)
- Field data monitoring, emerging instrumentation/operations, and asset condition rating assessments
- Policy, legislation, permitting, program financing, and enforcement
- Numerical and statistical methods, time series, and vector data analysis
- Modeling data development and management using CAD, GIS, and asset management systems
Abstracts or notices of intent are invited immediately. Please include a title or topic that you wish to cover, a brief outline (300 word maximum), and the names and contact information of the authors involved.
